I have been working in Social Services in a skilled nursing setting for many years and am very excited to take the leap as Executive Director of Gladding Ridge. I have lived all over the country while serving in the Army and finishing my education. I am originally from Southern California but love the Sacramento area and all it has to offer my family. I have 4 very busy and active children who take up all my free time. I enjoy coaching their sports teams and being a volunteer in their various scouting and school activities. I am looking forward to the new adventures this position will bring and in getting to know my staff and residents and creating a fun, but professional environment, where everyone loves to live and work.

As The Marketing Director at Gladding Ridge, I pride myself on living locally and helping our local community. My career over the years has been spent serving our seniors in Placer County and surrounding areas. I have the opportunity and responsibility to educate the community, potential residents and their families about assisted living. It is with great pleasure that I help families transition to community living with simplicity. I host educational workshops and enjoy fundraising for local charities. Alzheimer's research is near and dear to my heart and it is my hope that they will find a cure for Alzheimer's with the advancement of our technology in the near future.

I started working for the company in 2012 in housekeeping. As I grew closer to each and every resident, my job became my home away from home. After a year and half of housekeeping, I moved onto a concierge position where I found a whole new interest in admin work. I knew that this job was meant for me. Ten months into the position, I was offered the Business Office Manager position to continue my career.
As the Business Office Manager, I am responsible for making our community policies and regulations easy and clear for our residents and their loved ones. I oversee the concierges, meet with family members regarding admission agreements, and manage deposits and billing. I also serve as human resources for the amazing employees by making sure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
Working with seniors has made me come to appreciate the finer things in life. I have learned to slow down and take time with the people I love, including all our residents. I know that working with seniors is what I was meant to do.

Terri Gonzalez Housekeeping/Laundry

As Housekeeping Director, I oversee our housekeepers and the laundry. I ensure the cleanliness of our building and individual apartments as well as weekly deep cleaning and laundry services. In my six years with Gladding Ridge, I get the benefit of having the best of both worlds by not only doing what I am good at but enjoying quality time I get to spend with each resident.

I bring with me 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry. I started working in the restaurant industry at the age of 15 with a passion for food, learning everything that I could about it, from everyone that I could. At the age of 18, I was given the opportunity to be the Executive Chef of my own restaurant. 5 years later I went on to further my knowledge and went to culinary school where I graduated at the top of my class with a Culinary Arts Degree. With my new found knowledge, I went on to work in many kitchens to learn more about all of the different cuisines of the world. I learned from many different people and built my food knowledge into what it is today. I have run many restaurants with great success, worked for catering company’s, and in retirement communities, and loved every minute. My path leads me to healthcare, where my passion for food and helping others was most needed. Here at Gladding Ridge is where I enjoy sharing my passion for food and making people happy and healthy.

I became a part of the Gladding Ridge team in December 2015. I began as an Activities Assistant and later became a Culinary Assistant. Now, I am Gladding’s Concierge.

Being the Concierge, I get the chance to become closer to the residents and I love it! I also feel I have a better opportunity to get to know the residents’ families and friends. Not only do I love the bond with the residents, but working with them has reminded me to live life to the fullest, appreciate everything life has to offer and to work hard to achieve what makes you happy.
